Rodriguez

SHAMAN

Ivan Acuña Rodriguez grew up in Mexico City. Coming from a skilled musicians family, music was not only an important part of his life but as he was turning into a man, it became his passion. It was especially his love for the guitar that led him to study at the National Institute of Fine Arts (INBA) in Mexico City in a concert career. After his study Ivan started to perform at concerts. His passion for music kept growing and he became a multi-instrumentalist, singer, and facilitator of sonotherapy.

Ivan has been working intensively with the medicine of Ayahuasca since 2012. His learning was initiated by the Red path. Later Ivan traveled and drank the medicine with other traditions. In 2017 he worked as a facilitator of sonotherapy during Ayahuasca ceremonies at the Arkana spiritual center in Peru. In 2018 he was a member of the team of facilitators of the Sacred Valley Tribe in the Maha Templo de la Pacha in Pisac, Peru. He worked in Ayahuasca retreats with Diego Palma in Melisa Wasy in Pisac and in Sacha Munay.

After his travels, Ivan and his wife Pamela founded Ayaruna family in Playa del Carmen, Riviera Maya, Mexico. With other skilled musicians and dedicated lovers of the medicine, they offer medicine ceremonies with sound healing, mainly ceremonies of Ayahuasca, Bufo, and Kambo. Those who had the honor to attend the Ayaruna family ceremonies are left in awe by the quality of Ivan’s music and the loving space that he and his team create every single time.  Ivan’s desire is to serve the medicine and hold the space in a way that opens people to a healthy and more tranquil, happy life guiding them to their purpose.
